Image Policy

Keuka College celebrates the achievements of our students, alumni, faculty, and staff. Photography and videography are shared to provide glimpses into life at Keuka College for community members, students, parents, alumni, prospective students, and other supporters. In order to respect and protect the privacy interests of the College’s students, alumni, faculty, and employees on campus and at institutional activities, the College has implemented an image use policy.

Throughout the year, the Office of Marketing and Communications may receive, commission or take images/photographs and/or videos of students, alumni, faculty, staff, and campus guests/visitors on campus or participating in school activities/events. Images and videos taken or provided to Keuka College may be shared publicly as part of news, webpages, advertising and promotional activities, recruiting future students, alumni and college advancement and development activities, educational or other initiatives. These images/photographs and/or videos may appear in various Keuka College publications and related media, including, but not limited to, the Keuka College website (www.keuka.edu), printed admission packages, newsletters, programs, brochures, magazines, institutional calendar, social media, or other third-party media outlets.

Keuka College reserves the right to use image(s), photograph(s), video(s), interview(s) or soundbite(s), taken or obtained from people or students on campus and/or at college-sponsored events for the purpose of advancing the mission, interests and objectives of Keuka College including, but not limited to, promoting, publicizing, recruiting or public relations relating to the College. There is no expectation of privacy in public or common spaces on campus, indoors and outdoors, and candid photography and videography taken in these spaces do not require consent. If you see a photographer or videographer on campus and do not wish for your image to be recorded, politely decline to be included in such content.

Participating in photography or videography at any location is deemed your consent to have your image used for the purposes described above. If a photography or videography session is for a specific purpose, then you may be asked to sign a release form.

If you have questions or concerns about the use of your imagery or wish to withdraw your consent to the College for photography or videography usage, please contact the Office of Marketing and Communications at marketing@keuka.edu or (315) 279-5231.
