NUR-389 Pathophysiology/Pharmacology

This is a theory based nursing course where the student integrates knowledge based in science and grounded by the humanities which explores the pathophysiology of select disease processes across the lifespan. Using a systems approach, the students will be immersed in the concepts of pharmacotherapeutics and its safe and effective use in the treatment of common acute and chronic diseases. Non-pharmacologic integrative therapies are also explored. Special emphasis is placed on reflective practice and a collaborative team approach to provide holistic care across the lifespan.
