NUR-377 Pediatrics

This is a theory and practicum nursing course where the student integrates knowledge based in science and grounded in the humanities which explores the care of children and professional role development to ensure a solid educational foundation. Nursing’s unique body of knowledge is used to apply evidence-based care to the pediatric population. Partnering with caregivers, students integrate concepts of wellness and primary prevention, as well as, the care of acute and chronic conditions. Special emphasis is placed on reflective practice in a collaborative team approach to provide holistic care.
