NUR-314 Adult/Elder Health Nursing I

"This course emphasizes the acute care nursing of adults and elders. Strategies for the prevention of common threats to health and the restoration of heatlh are also examined in the light of cultural influences. Students apply nursing process to meet primary and secondary health care needs of adults and elders in partnership with families and communities. Partnerships include service-learning opportunities, as well as the study of how health care policy and economics affect the client. Relevant research findings are incorporated as appropriate. Clinical learning experiences occur in community-based hospitals and other care settings.(Offered every spring semester.)"
