Graduate Student Selection

Keuka College expects graduate students to exhibit high professional standards and academic excellence in the areas of leadership, research, communication, and critical thinking. Specific admissions requirements vary across all programs and are outlined below. Upon submission of all required application materials, students will receive official notification of acceptance or denial from Keuka College Admissions. 

MS in Management Application Requirements

Applicants must submit the following materials to be reviewed for an admissions decision:
1. Completion of online application by visiting keuka.edu/aoe/apply
2. Official transcripts from all institutions attended with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
3. Proof of conferred bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
4. One letter of recommendation

MS in Literature Application Requirements

Applicants must submit the following materials to be reviewed for an admissions decision:
1. Completion of online application by visiting keuka.edu/aoe/apply
2. Official transcripts from all institutions attended
3. Personal/professional goals statement
4. Two letters of recommendation
5. Proof of graduation from a registered teacher education program
In addition to the required application materials, before enrolling, accepted students must submit of proof of passing New York State teacher certifications or proof of having applied for certification. 

MS in Nursing Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Application Requirements

Applicants must submit the following materials to be reviewed for an admissions decision:
1. Completion of online application by visiting keuka.edu/aoe/apply
2. Official transcripts from all institutions attended with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale
3. Proof of conferred bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
4. Proof of an unencumbered NYS Registered Nurse license (can be verified online by Keuka College)
5. Two written or verbal clinical recommendations 
6. One written or verbal professional recommendation 
7. Copy of current resume 
8. 300-500 word essay 
9. Graduate interview with Nursing faculty member

 

Master of Social Work Application Requirements

Applicants must submit the following materials to be reviewed for an admissions decision:
1. Completion of online application by visiting keuka.edu/aoe/apply 
2. Submission of all official transcripts from each college or university attended with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale
3. Proof of conferred bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
4. Submission of two letters of recommendation
5. Submission of current resume
6. Submission of essay

*Applicants who have earned a bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution within 6 years of application may apply for advanced standing in the MSW program. For consideration for Advanced Standing, grades of "B" or better are required in all undergraduate Social Work courses, with grades of "C" of better in core Writing, Statistics, and Human Biology courses. Applicants for Advanced Standing must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Applicants for Advanced Standing must submit all of the requirements above plus the final BSW Field Practicum Evaluation (or mid-term evaluation if practicum is currently in progress at the time of application). Candidates with one C in a Social Work course will be considered at the discretion of the admissions committee. Additional documentation may be requested from the applicant.

Post-Master's Certificate in Nursing Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Application Requirements 

Applicants must submit the following materials to be reviewed for an admissions decision:

2. Official transcripts from all institutions attended with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale
3. Proof of conferred master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution
4. Proof of an unencumbered NYS Registered Nurse license (can be verified online by Keuka College)
5. Two written or verbal clinical recommendations 
6. One written or verbal professional recommendation 
7. Copy of current resume 
8. 300-500 word essay 
9. Graduate interview with Nursing faculty member

 

*International students are also required to submit additional application materials as indicated in the international student admissions section.
