College Record 2022-2023

Divisional Placement Assessment

To ensure that students are enrolled in a class that most clearly fits their skills, experience and needs, the College administers the following placement tests to traditional incoming students:

  • A self-guided English and Writing assessment (all students)
  • A Math placement (NSM, Health Sciences, and Education with Math or Science students only)
  • American Sign Language (ASL/AEI students only) - A virtual meeting with the ASL faculty should be scheduled prior to August 6 for Fall enrollment and January 7 for Spring enrollment.

Placement exams are required for traditional new students and must be completed prior to arriving on campus. Returning students who are missing placement results should contact the Registrar's Office for guidance. There is no fee for these examinations and no academic credit is awarded. Information on placement exams can be found within the New Student Portal.
