Community Guidelines

The use of social media platforms by Keuka College is intended to promote interaction and engagement among the College Community while providing an online space to share information about the College and its students, faculty, staff, alumni, and extended family.

Communication on social platforms is open to all members; however, when necessary, page administrators reserve the right to remove user-generated content. Members of our groups and pages can flag and report content that violates these guidelines. Repeated violations of the guidelines below may result in a member being removed from our social media groups and blocked from posting to those sites.

Posts may be removed for the following reasons:

  • The use of obscene, threatening, discriminatory, or harassing language and inappropriate comments/responses.
    Disclosure of confidential information.
  • Comments advocating illegal activity.
  • Posts violating copyrights or trademarks.
  • Advertisement or promotion of commercial products or services, and fundraising not approved by the College.
  • Endorsement of or opposition to political candidates or politicians, or lobbying for a ballot proposal.
  • Repeat comments by the same user or multiple users. In the case of identical comments, only the first submission will be approved.

Keep in mind that all users, including administrators, are subject to the Terms of Service (TOS) of the host site. Communications made through social media in no way constitute a legal or official notice to Keuka College, its agencies, faculty, or staff. References to third-party content or websites do not indicate endorsement or responsibility on behalf of the College. Keuka College reserves the right to update and change guidelines as needed.

Please remember:

  • No hate speech or bullying
