Student Handbook 2022-2023

Letter from Student Life

Dear Keuka College Students,

I am delighted to welcome you to the Keuka College community as you begin this year’s collegiate adventure.  Know that you join over a century’s worth of past Keukonians who have developed habits of mind and social responsibility that have become exemplary citizens and leaders who serve the nation and the world.  This shared history is grounded in living rich lives at our beautiful college by the lake and supporting the shared community standards that are included in this Student Handbook.

The Student Handbook provides a comprehensive listing of institutional and residential policies that denote the College’s expectations of our community members, as well as “The Way of the Wolf” which is our college’s honor code.  The Way of the Wolf is an agreement between all members of the Keuka College community grounded in our college’s values.  It is expected that all members of our community will follow The Way of the Wolf and all policies included in this handbook so that everyone on campus can focus on the development that is required to meet their academic and personal goals while at Keuka College.  If you are ever unclear about the college’s policies or expectations of conduct standards, please ask one of the college’s faculty or staff members for more information.

Knowing that all members of our community have agreed to act with integrity and to care, respect, and appreciate diversity in people, culture, beliefs, ideas, practices, and experiences allows individuals to maximize their personal development while at Keuka College by expanding their circles and learning more about the world around them.  College is full of possibilities and you are encouraged to seek out new opportunities while you are here.  There will be times when you will struggle while you are here, but know that there are many people and services that can help you overcome the difficulties that you experience.  All you have to do is ask and we will give you the support you need to achieve your college goals.

You have an open invitation to stop by my office or email me at hmaldonado@keuka.edu if you have any questions or concerns.  If you see me on campus, please introduce yourself because I look forward to meeting you at events on campus or while grabbing a meal in The Geiser.  If there is anything the college can do to improve your college experience, I hope you will let me know - and I hope you will take full advantage of the wonderful opportunities that await you this academic year.

Go Wolves!
