College Record 2020-2021

Repeating a Course

A course may be repeated only once. The grade and credit from the repeated course becomes the official grade and credit. The previous attempt will appear on the student’s transcript and will not computed in the GPA or Keuka College credit hours earned toward academic standing or graduation. Additionally, students may not transfer credit from another institution to replace an unsuccessful prior attempt through Keuka College. An exception to policy is required to deviate from this policy.

Certain courses may be taken more than once for credit across a student’s undergraduate studies. In these situations, students must take a different topic than what they had previously attempted and the course must fall in a different semester. In other words, students are able to take the same course, with a different topic, as long as the courses are not being taken within the same semester. Courses that are eligible to be taken multiple times for credit will have this designation shown in their course description.
