POL-325 Congress and the Presidency

This course explores the constitutional separation of powers between the legislative and executive branches in American politics, as well as informal changes in their relationship and their effect on the policy making process. It will take an institutional and behavioral perspective, covering electoral politics, the public image of both branches, and the role of political parties, interests groups and money in their activities.
