KC-101 Practicing Academic Culture @Keuka † *

As the foundation of the General Education program, this course introduces first-year students to Keuka College's signature emphasis on experiential education, integrated learning, and rigorous academic study.  The course serves as lens through which students explore how breadth of knowledge, ways of knowing, and the interconnectedness of ideas contribute to a deeper understanding of self, education, and experience.  Students and faculty will build a dynamic intellectual community by engaging in a shared process of inquiry around a common topic with individual sections approaching the topic from the instructor's area of expertise.  All seminars emphasize the critical analysis, writing, and information fluency skills that are essential to a contemporary liberal education.
