THR-222 Acting on and Off the Stage *

An exploration of the techniques and skills that professional actors use, modifying them for use on and off the stage. Students will learn to overcome stage fright, develop a strong steady articulate voice, focus on intentions and situational awareness, develop stage presence, utilize improvisational techniques, and strengthen rehearsal skills that will boost confidence and ability to perform as real world situations demand. As a final project for the course, students will research and perform a presentation directly related to their area of study.
