BUS-202 Business Law

An introduction to legal principles and their relationships to business organizations. Representative topics include the constitutional authority to regulate business, consumer law, employment and labor relations law, torts and crimes related to business, and intellectual property. A substantial part of the course covers contract law and commercial paper. Cases from New York law are used extensively to assist the students in understanding the everyday applications of the law.
