Division Policy
Individual academic divisions have jurisdiction over exceptions to academic policies regarding major requirements, minor requirements, and course prerequisites. Such exceptions will be made when the exception requested does not violate the spirit of the policy or represent inequitable treatment. A student wishing to request an exception to such policies should consult the Chair of the Division to be informed of relevant policies and file an exception to policy form. Should an exception be granted, the proper exception to policy form should be submitted to the Office of the Registrar. The provost or designee must approve the exception in order for it to be approved.
