College Record 2020-2021

Participation in Commencement

Upon the recommendation of the College and the Board of Trustees, Keuka College confers baccalaureate and master’s degrees on the last day of every month. The College’s formal commencement ceremony is held during May.

All students must complete the Commencement Application located on the KC Portal in order to participate in the commencement ceremony. Filing dates can be found on the academic calendar.
Participation in the May commencement ceremony is limited to those who have completed their degree requirements or are within 15 credit hours of meeting all graduation requirements.
Students who are within 15 credits of meeting graduation requirements may participate in the May ceremony if the student can complete the remaining credits by the end of the year . The student’s ability to complete all outstanding requirements by this deadline may be verified by proof of registration at another accredited institution, approved Field Period® learning contracts, or similar documentation.
Students above 15 credits that want to participate in the May ceremony may file a petition with the registrar's office which will be sent to the Provost or designee for approval.
Those students who will be registering for student teaching, criminal justice internships, or similar official full-time internship requirements during the following fall semester may participate in the May ceremony.
Graduate students who will be able to complete their graduation requirements during the following summer semester may also participate in the May ceremony.
Students who are degree pending for a conferral date must have all graduation requirements completed on or before the conferral date.
Students must have paid or made arrangements to pay all College fees and other charges incurred at Keuka College in order to receive their diploma and/or official transcript.
