HIS-113 World History † *

An examination of the major developments that have shaped the human experience from the earliest civilizations to the present day.  Special attention will be paid to the overall patterns of global history, characteristics of the world's major pre-modern civilizations, and the relationships and exchanges between an among the world's societies.  Major themes include political, cultural, and economic change.  Students will also gain insight into the historical roots of many of the world's major ideas and traditions.
