NUR-303 Epidemiology

This course presents basic epidemiological concepts and methods with emphasis on the health status and health needs of a population, on the levels of prevention, and on the promotion of heatlh strategies. General methods introduced include epidemiological measures, measures of effect, sources of data, descriptive components, study designs and stategies for screening, and surveillance in the community. Practical applications for heatlh care providers are emphasized.
