COM-305 Design in a Digital World †

This course will examine some of the principal implications of digital technologies and new media for the field of art and design. Students will explore the ways in which new media and digital tools have influence the practice of art and design and apply what they have learned in creating digitally-based projects of their own. Attention will be paid to social media, online publishing, open-source software, and selected digital tools; guest lecturers will offer practical insights and guidance regarding the theory and practice of art and desing in digital contexts.
