ASL-220 Language Acquisition in Deaf Community
An overview of linguistic principles and human languages with an in-depth exploration of language acquisition among Deaf people including first-language acquisition of signed languages, second-language acquisition of written/spoken languages, delayed exposure to language and semilingualism. This course includes the anaysis of ASL discourse for narratives and conversations.
