Guest Policy

At no time shall a residence hall room or apartment be occupied by more than double the number of residents assigned to that room plus one.

  • Single (or Resident Assistant) Room: 3 (including resident)
  • Double Room: 5 (including residents)
  • Triple Room: 7 (including residents)
  • Quad Room: 9 (including residents)
  • 1-bedroom Apartment: 5 (including residents)
  • 2-bedroom Apartment: 9 (including residents)

The respective resident host is responsible for the actions of all their guests. This includes accepting responsibility for any damages done by any visitor. If proper sign in procedure is not followed, the Residence Life staff will be informed and the visitor(s) and the host will be subject to disciplinary action. Visits by family members must also adhere to these guidelines.

All guests are required to meet all College standards of conduct. Students are responsible for informing guests of the College regulations and are responsible for the actions of their guests.

All guests may stay overnight in a residence hall or apartment for a maximum of 3 days in a 10-day period. A guest staying past 12:00 a.m. (midnight) is considered overnight.

Professional Live-in Staff Apartments

  • There are designed professional live-in staff apartments in all residential buildings, except for Blyley Hall and the Keuka Park Apartments.
  • These spaces are considered private to the professional staff members living there, which include but are not limited to:
    • Resident Director(s)
    • Graduate Resident Director(s)
    • Head Resident Assistant(s)
  • No students are allowed to be in these areas, unless you are authorized Residence Life staff in an emergency situation.

Student Guest(s)

  • There are no restrictions on other Keuka College students visiting or staying overnight in a residence hall or apartment building, as long as the following conditions are being met:
    • Campus Ban Restrictions
    • Campus Residence Restrictions
    • Compliance with Extraordinary Operation Procedures (e.g., COVID-19 policies)
    • No Contact Order Restrictions
    • The College Guest Policy duration limits
    • The College Guest Policy occupancy limits
