Pre-Medicine and Pre-Veterinary

Admission requirements for medical and veterinary schools vary. Most of these programs require a broad liberal arts education with a strong background in the sciences. The individual faculty advisors and the preprofessional advisory committee work with premedical and pre-veterinary students to develop programs that meet the requirements for entry to the professional school. Although medical and veterinary schools do not have a specific major requirement, most students complete a major in biology in order to be best prepared for entrance exams and the medical/veterinary school curriculum.
