SWK-310 Statistics in the Practice Professions

This course will provide an overview of statistical concepts and statistical testing in practice and research. Students will learn an overview of the process and relevancy of statistics to practice-based professions. Students will be exposed to methods of collecting, displaying, and summarizing data. Understanding trends in and distribution of data will be promoted. Students will learn about and how to calculate descriptive statistics and univariate analysis including measures of dispersion and measures of central tendency. Students will also be educated on and learn how to calculate inferential statistics including bivariate and multivariate tests.
