NUR-412 Childrearing Family Hlth Nur

"The focus of this course is the nursing care of children who experience acute, chronic, and rehabilitative health problems. The student uses the nursing process and a developmental framework to explore the unique, culturally influenced pattern of each family's ability to cope. Partnering with the family, appropriate nursing interventions are planned, executed, and evaluated, highlighting the student's critical thinking ability. Health care policy and economics specific to childbearing families are integrated throughout the course. Clinical learning experiences occur in a variety of community-based hospitals and other settings.(Offered every fall semester.)"
