IMR-270 Internet Law and Policy

In this course, we will explore a brief history of communication, government surveillance, privacy, and security law as the internet developed from a government network to a world wide web of communication, content and commerce. Using readings, hands-on instruction, video and individual projects, students will work to identify, analyze, and communicate the technical, legal, marketing and social factors that shape internet culture and communities.
