EDU-410 Professional Management Issues

Issues addressed include integration of knowledge for effective classroom instruction; techniques for classroom management; application of teaching methodologies; individualization of instruction for special needs students; working with parents and the community; the effect of one's own cultural biases and differences that affect one's teaching; and the practice of education in a professional, non-discriminatory and ethical manner. The child abuse training workshop and violence prevention workshop are part of this course. Course is intended for junior and senior level education majors who are completing student teaching the following semester.
