College Placement Exams
To ensure that students are enrolled in a class that most clearly fits their skills, experience and needs, the College administers the following placement tests to all traditional incoming students:
• A self-guided English and Writing assessment
• A math placement test
• American Sign Language (ASL) virtual meeting with faculty
Students with transfer credit for or prior experience with American Sign Language and are pursuing degrees in ASL and ASL/INT programs are required to have a virtual meeting with the ASL faculty to be assessed for placement. Meetings should be scheduled prior to August 6 for Fall enrollment and January 7 for Spring enrollment.
*There is no fee for these examinations and no academic credit is awarded.
