College Record 2020-2021

Former Students Returning to Keuka College

Former Keuka College students who have voluntarily and officially withdrawn from the College must fill out a Readmission Application. All applications will be reviewed by the Keuka College Office of Admissions as well as the Office of the Registrar, if necessary.

Former students who have been dismissed for academic or disciplinary reasons, or who have been involuntarily withdrawn for medical reasons or not registered, may request to return to the College by filling out the Keuka College Readmission Application and should provide supporting information from appropriate academic authorities, employers, or other agencies to accompany their application. All students who have been suspended or dismissed for disciplinary reasons must wait one year to request readmission to Keuka College. All applications will be reviewed by the Office of Admissions as well as the Office of the Registrar, the Academic Division, and the Office of Student Affairs, if necessary.

If a student has been away from Keuka College for more than one year and has 12 or more credits left in order to complete their degree, the student will be readmitted and will take on the current academic catalog year. If a student has been away from Keuka College for less than one year or is coming back from a Temporary Academic Leave or a Leave of Absence, they will be returned to their prior active status and keep the academic catalog year they had prior to leaving Keuka College. If a student has less than 12 credits remaining to complete their degree and they have been away from Keuka College for more than one year, their catalog year and status will be subject to Registrar and Division review. Students wishing to change their major upon their return will be evaluated on a case by case basis and should consult with the Registrar’s Office. Each academic program reserves the right to issue an academic contract to a returning student as a term of their readmission or return to active status. All applications will be reviewed by the Office of Admissions as well as the Office of the Registrar, the Academic Division, and the Office of Student Affairs, if necessary. Please note if there have been significant curricular changes to a program during the time the student has been away from Keuka College, or if programs have been discontinued, students may not be able to continue under their previous academic catalog year or within the same academic program. Keuka College is not obligated to teach courses or programs that have been discontinued.

Traditional students who have withdrawn or have been suspended because of academic deficiencies but who have demonstrated personal and academic maturation may request to be readmitted under Keuka College’s academic “fresh start” policy.

Student account holds must be cleared before returning to Keuka College.
