EDU-410 Professional Management Issues

Issues addressed include integration of knowledge for effective classroom instruction; techniques for classroom management; application of teaching methodologies; individualization of instruction for special needs students; working with parents and the community; the effect of one's own cultural biases and differences that affect one's teaching; and the practice of education in a professional, non-discriminatory and ethical manner. The child abuse training workshop and violence prevention workshop are part of this course.
