College Record 2019-2020

Drop Add Withdraw from Course

Drop/Add/Withdrawal Course Policy:

1.  On-campus students may add or drop a course on their own during the first 6 days of the semester with no signatures from the advisor or instructor required.  AOE students may add or drop a course on the first class of each course by notifying the advisor and receiving approval.

2. On-campus course withdrawals occurring between day 7 and mid-semester require a completed add/drop/withdraw form.  Both the advisor's signature and the instructor's signature are required.    AOE students who withdraw before the midpoint of the course must notify and receive approval.  A W (withdrawal) grade will appear on the student's record.

3.  Withdrawals from a course subsequent to mid-semester (on-campus) or mid-course(AOE) shall be permitted only for extenuating circumstances, e.g., medical or other problems of a non-academic nature requiring an absence from class and/or the campus. Such withdrawals require written permission signed by both the advisor and the appropriate instructor(s) and must be submitted as an exception to policy.

4.  Failure to withdraw from a course officially through the registrar or to finish the requirements of an “Incomplete” by the specified date results in an “F” grade, which is entered on the student's record.
