ENG-306 The English Language

[CHANGED TO ENG-206] Prerequisites: ENG 110, ENG 112. This course offers students an in-depth look at the nature of the English language. It addresses such questions as: Where does English come from? How does the language work? How and why has English changed over time? How have authors made use of, and extended the capabilities of, the English language? (Offered every odd-year fall semester.)
